This book requires that the reader is already familiar with object-oriented programming, and contains much basic information about Fortran that any experienced Fortran programmer already knows. I am looking for a book for experienced Fortran programmers, to tell them about object-oriented programming, but this book is for the opposite audience.
The above-described material constitutes only about the first third of the book. The next third is mostly about topics, such as memory management and linear algebra, that involve object-oriented programming only peripherally.
The last third consists of appendices that contain language tables, such as those that come with any compiler, and long passages of source code for the solution of simple problems, illustrating points that are already illustrated in the text.
