OpenOffice.Org 2: Firefox and Thunderbird for Windows All in One (Sams Teach Yourself)

I have the version of this book written for OpenOffice.org v1.1. I can't see the point in buying this book as well if they don't have a section on the newest program in the suite, Base. In fact, the main difference between OOo v1.1 and v2.0 is the inclusion of the database application, Base.

Base really needs explaining more than any other aspect of the application as it is the newest and also the worst documented element. Perhaps that is why the author has not included it. Or perhaps the synopsis is wrong and the book really does cover Base. The synopsis does mention all the other parts of the application, but is strangely silent on this one.

If Base really is ignored, then don't waste your money until they publish a book that does cover the newest bit of OOo 2.0. The other bits haven't changed so much as to justify spending this kind of money on an incomplete work.
