I live in Turkey and my English is upper intermediate. I had bought Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary. I can find many words which are used rarely and sample sentences in it. It's really good but it's big/heavy for me to carry it everyday to work (I have problem with my ankle), open it while I'm reading in the bus.So I bought this small one. It has Oxford quality and it's functional. I can understand the meanings (they are simple for an upper intermediate learner) and also I find the synonyms.

If you need a small dictionary and thesaurus get this, it's an excellent book for the price.
It's around about 3.5 cm deep, 10 cm wide and 13cm long.

Perfect size for handbags or briefcase. Bought as a gift for mum who is an avid crossword and puzzler and she thinks its fantastic
