Reader Reviews:Five Star Book (1/1 people found this helpful)This is a smashing little book recounting the true story of Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Dr. Mike Stroud's attempt to cross the Antartic without dogs and rescue planes. And written in a way that made me feel Anna Perera was suffering the same cold, frostbite and hunger that they did. My son doesn't enjoy reading but this book hooked him from the first page. With great photos, facts and illustrations, my daughter also found it a joy to read. I wish there were more adventure stories like it.
