Having lived in Spain for over two years I believe I have at last found the best dictionary to help me get to grips with the language. It is extremely clear and concise and provides all the information I need to improve my knowledge of the language and I thoroughly recomend it.

it is one of the best books i have in my collection i am just doing year one it has been the best learning aid i have my sister is doing her a level and she uses it as much as i do it has proved to be the use book in the house

The Oxford Spanish Dictionary is recommended by the Open University (OU) for its L140 "En rumbo" course. The dictionary is an excellent tool for anyone who needs a general Spanish dictionary at a reasonable price. The notes, which are highlighted in coloured boxes, provide useful background information. As we have come to expect of good dictionaries, the entries are clear, with headwords in bold blue text. Subdivisions of meanings are identified with blue letters, arranged alphabetically. The typeface is easy to read. This is a very useful and usable dictionary, suitable for desktop use, though not for reading on a crowded Underground train--it's heavy.
