I'm torn (2/2 people found this helpful)

The reason I'm torn is twofold - the first being I have ripped my insides out laughing so hard, the second being I cannot, for the life of me decide which Peter Kay Gig I prefer! This one has some ridiculously amusing bits in it, but i would recommend you to have seen the DVD first as he does quite a lot of miming (I bought this to put on my iPod) The only thing wrong with this audiobook is that the little skit (about colour tv etc) that is on the beginning of the DVD isn't on here, where it is on the Bolton Audiobook (with Shelly & Gina from Corrie). So freaking funny it makes travelling long distances fun!

Better on TV (0/0 people found this helpful)

Whilst there are some funny gags on this CD it was clearly a TV show and unlike some others it struggles to make it onto CD. Disappointing.

Peter Kay is truly the funniest man alive!!! (19/19 people found this helpful)

Firstly I will start by saying everyone should buy this audio book. Well it's not really a book, but the audio soundtrack from his live stand up show. Now I've seen the performance on TV, I have it on video, I even bought it on DVD to get every bit of hilarity this guy has to offer. Now I have but the CD version of the show, so I can listen to it on the move, in my walkman and if I wasn't so worried about the effects of hysterical laughing fits whilst driving, I'd probably listen to it in the car.
Peter Kay's comedy has something for everyone in the family and we can all relate to certain parts of it. Kids will certainly get the jokes regarding their mother's and their habit of buying cheap brand soft drinks rather then the proper brands. Adults will also find many of the jokes familar when he talks about holidays abroad, how they start with a cheap booking off Teletext, right through to calling home as soon as you arrive to find out what the weather's like at home, to then going out to find something Homely, in Kay's case it was a Red Lion Pub and a supermarket that sells Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers or Les Cadbury's Fingrez as it were.
From the start to the finish this is just a great way to relax and have a laugh. What's more Peter Kay isn't offensive, isn't crude, isn't racist, isn't sexist and as he says at the end, "It's not for me, it's for the Kids!" It's just good wholesome family entertainment, order it today!
