Reader Reviews:

5/5 stars

Cynical but hilarious (6/6 people found this helpful)

The sketches cover political events between 1997 and 2002. Hoggart covers parliamentary proceedings, election (general and party) campaigns and conferences. No one is immune from his humour although he is particulalry strong on Blair, Thatcher and Major.
This volume is funnier than Hoggart's first and is on a par with Frank Johnson's. The funniest sketches are superb at demolishing political conceit with delightful barbs.
