Reader Reviews:Exactly what I was looking for (0/0 people found this helpful)I'd been getting frustrated by the text books that came with my French course (for one thing, they were in French, for another there was no clear structure to them). This book was exactly what I was looking for, very succinct coverage of French grammar, with plenty of examples, so it works very well as a quick and easy reference guide. Excellent! Good practice! (1/1 people found this helpful)I own Practice Makes Perfect along with Smart French and Collins, and I found that the combination was a good one: Easy Learning French (Collins Easy Learning Audio Course) makes you master useful basic sentences, while SmartFrench - Introduction to French, Vol.1 adds great tips on pronunciation to their brilliant explanations of the structure of the french language, and Practice Makes Perfect: Complete French Grammar (Practice Makes Perfect Series) teaches you with excellent exercises . All three are awesome together. finally.............I understand! (2/2 people found this helpful)I am in an intensive French course where the teacher will only speak in French. However, there are some things that you just can't "get" unless it is explianed in English. I really have found this book to be easy to understand and extremly helpful - well worth it! Useful Study Aid (0/1 people found this helpful)Despite the pages of the book being rain water damaged as a result of poor packaging, I am happy with the item. It arrived damp, but fairly speedily and has been well used as an 'A' level study aid for my daughter. She says it is clear and straightforward to use. practice makes perfect (2/2 people found this helpful)Clear, attractively laid out on the page - actually invites one to do the exercises. Thorough treatment if you are learning from scratch but also ideal to check if you really do know what you assume you know. The vocabulary is useful and the sentence structures lead on to quite complex sentences. The arrangement is slightly odd as complicated verb usages are placed before use of definite article.
