I bought this book for my 12 year old daughter to supplement her school work. We were both delighted with the amount of useful information contained in the book. It was much thicker than we had expected and we therefore thought it was excellent value for money. It is well set out and the practice excersises are fun and relevant.

As my first Spanish teacher was Mexican the book brought back many memories .
It is a good cheap book , well put together and if you ignore the rooting of many of the exercises in American culture ( many of the names meant nothing to me )you will get a lot from this book for expansion and revision of vocabulary and language usage.

A great back up for my Spanish lessons, the book lists Vocabulario tables which can be learnt while working through the book - excellent!

I agree with the other reviews that this is value for money - especially if you are going to Latin America. There are probably too many vocabulary items - my Spanish friends laughed when I showed them this book and said that a lot of them are never used in Spain.

Lots of useful vocabulary,set out in subject areas, which is just what I wanted. Good explanations of grammar also ,from basics to improver level ,however tenses are covered by another title. The articles are up to date and genuinely interesting.The topic matter is very American and British readers may not be able to answer some questions but this does not matter as long as they are understood . You get a lot of material for the price and it is outstanding value for money.
