Reader Reviews:A good introduction to Irish archaeology. (5/6 people found this helpful)Well presented introductory book. Good photographs and clear, uncomplicated text which is suitable for the lay reader or undergraduate students. There is surprisingly good detail on artefacts and sites for a modest-sized book. The book is not formally referenced, however this is an advantage for a general book since this prevents the lay-reader being put off. Nevertheless, Harbison does attribute findings and there is a good bibliography attached. Well worth a place on any bookshelf for such a modest price.
