This text (the 'Green Book'), is, rightly, very highly regarded by the Irish language community and - a big plus - there is a huge amount of support material online.
A quick Google search will find the answers to the exercises and pronunciation sound files for each lesson. There is also a very good tutor-led online course that is free to join. The group is located at Yahoo Groups - search the groups for Progress in Irish.
I have tried to find similar resources to help learning Hebrew and there is nothing that I can find that rivals the Green Book and the amount of free support provided for users of the book.

I think this must be one of the most undervalued Irish textbooks.
In 72 very gently graded exercises, this book will teach you a lot of vocab and grammar, and just about as painlessly as possible.
It's an excellent little book, and at this price you really can't go wrong. Even if you decide that you'd prefer a course with a bit more 'padding', you still won't regret this purchase, as it will be a useful accessory.
I feel a bit mean, only giving it 4 stars. But I knocked a star off because it doesn't come with a key to the exercises.
Still, maybe you should regard this as a 4.5 or 4.75 star review. I recommend this book highly.
