World In Action Producer reveals "This is an outstanding book" (0/0 people found this helpful)

As one of World In Action's former team members I can say this is an outstanding book with fascinating new information. If you want to know how the ingredients were developed that made WIA Britain's finest current affairs programme - often in the week's top 20 - this book provides the answers. I didn't get on with David Plowright when I worked at Granada but I can now see why he was a true tv hero. The management was ambitious for WIA and resolute in defending it. We shall not see their like again. A fine piece of academic investigation. Simon Albury
