Reader Reviews:Generally brilliant (0/0 people found this helpful)The tallest mountain is Mauna Kea in Hawaii from base to tip but some of it is below sea level so the highest mountain is Everest from sea level to tip. Henry VIII has 2 wives, his other 4 marriages were annulled. The most dangerous animal that ever lived is the mosquito, having killed an estimated 45 billion humans since we've been around. Hitler was not a vegetarian whose favourite dish was Bavarian sausage and who was not an atheist but a catholic.
Get your son off his xbox with this great book! (0/0 people found this helpful)While complaining to my friend about the length of time my son (12)would spend on his xbox if I let him, she suggested this brilliant book which is full of interesting and educational snippets. He often picks it up - unlike any other book he has, and get immersed then passes on at tea time what he has learned. A true miracle!! Perfect for unnecessary trivia! (0/0 people found this helpful)For all of those QI fans out there, this is an essential purchase to make. If for no other reason than to keep your memories fresh with all the facts that the wonderful television programme has given us. A cracking book - great for fans of the show. (0/0 people found this helpful)So far I have spotted two "whoopsies". One of them is glaring off the back cover, the other is more subtle (but should be work-outable by most people).
General Ignorance (0/0 people found this helpful)You wouldn't realise how much has been told to you over the years that is just a myth or completely wrong until you read this book! Brilliant facts and information about a massive range of areas with comical parts and some jokes just to keep you entertained. The book is written in quite a simple way (not too many scientific words etc) so it would not be too difficult for many to understand, although I have noticed one or two grammatical errors (should these not have been picked up before printing!?) I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in knowledge!
