Interesting account of Dawlish line (2/2 people found this helpful)

This is a good collection of photographs and dialogue giving a realistic account of the history of the railway line between Starcross and Teignmouth along the Devon south coast. It details the building of the line, sea wall breaches and other history, including the reason for The Sea Lawn Gap at Dawlish. The only fault I can find with this book is that it details a 256 hardback publication on the final page which is apparently under preparation! A shame it has never appeared.
