Editorial Review:

Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodhall have regularly doled out their upper-crust fashion advice via the pages of Saturday's Daily Telegraph, establishing themselves as style experts on their mission to show that how ever tall or short, large or small you may be there are ways to look great all the time.

In Ready2Dress Susannah and Trinny call on four very different women who between them represent just about everything we either love or hate about our bodies. By assessing their individual body shapes and dishing out the odd tip on make-up, hair and the essential items that should provide the basics for every self-respecting fashion victim, the intrepid duo swing into action to prove that anyone--yes, really, anyone--can look fabulous.

Complete with a directory of "must-have" addresses, Ready2Dress gets up close and personal with the bits of our bodies we just love to hate and drags us kicking and screaming through a zesty and irreverent shopping spree that covers every clothing nightmare from bum-too-big to packing for a business trip.

Definitely one for the girls, Ready to Dress is a light and fluffy tour through the heart of the dull and dingy wardrobe--it certainly isn't brain surgery but, hey, it was never supposed to be. --Susan Harrison

5/5 stars

The ultimate self help book (25/25 people found this helpful)

Common sense laid on a plate. Straightforward advice given to you in a very honest, sometimes cheeky way. This book contains the fundamentals which help you make the most of your assets.

Particularly loved the section about clearing out, organising and looking after your wardrobe. This has been very rewarding - I now feel fully detoxed and it didn't cost me a penny.

This book would be great for any woman interested in having a wardrobe that is right for her every time.

Warning: This book damages your self-confidence (13/68 people found this helpful)

This book looks as though it contains some useful tips, but I just can't bring myself to read the text as I find it so offensive. Four normal, attractive ladies (and the two authors) are subjected to all kinds of rude comments such as "misshapen legs", "stunted dwarf", "wrinkle city" and "pathetic shoulders". Anyone with a fragile body image (which is many girls and women nowadays) will find it upsetting. There are frequent swear words.
The authors may well have good dress sense but their language could certainly be more ladylike.

Shame about the people, but good advice (3/17 people found this helpful)

This booked is packed with excellent advice for how to dress. It's just a shame that each of the four women used bear, facially, such a great resemblence to Susannah and Trinny that they might be one and the same people!!!. Who knows. As a result some of the impact of the book is taken away.

A fabulous witty and practical read (24/25 people found this helpful)

I really recommend this book to all but the most composed style guru. There is definitely something in here for everyone and the authors approach the subject with humour and humility. The makeovers are amazing - they give us all hope!! The book is down-to-earth and practical and allows plenty of scope for individual style and taste. The 'emphasise your good points, play down your bad points' approach is well illustrated through photos and descriptions of various friends of the authors, although it will no doubt be necessary for most to mix and match from the advice, as it is unlikely that we will be the same shape in all areas as those in the book. Susannah and Trinny's, almost tongue in cheek, comments are a joy to read and the book is also colourful and visually interesting. All in all - highly recommended!

Lots of pretty pictures but no real substance. (13/19 people found this helpful)

Focusing on half a dozen body types, this book shows basic information on what looks good - but with no really good explanation as to why. It's the sort of information that is vaguely interesting to read, but isn't meaningful enough to be useful when shopping. As the fundamentals of style aren't clearly laid out, but the book focuses on todays fashion, some may find it difficult to apply the thoughts when the fashion changes. I would suggest the guidance it does give is really only for those who are very young or really haven't got a clue.

In my view, it's just lots of pretty pictures but no real substance
