Even if you have gone through the process of:-
~install Red Hat
~realise you dont know what you are doing
~format PC and install windows
then you will already know more than this book can offer.
I was Microsoft through and through but this book told me nothing more other than that I was already aware of after 20mins of mooching around the desktop.
Okay the book was cheap but then again so is the content!
The author (Terry Collings) has written other books and certainly ones more suited to to people looking at using RHEL.
If you are looking for a cheap desktop then you would not be using RH - try Ubuntu or Fedora and then get a book better suited to those platforms.
If you are going to use RHEL or CENTOS then set your expectations a bit higher and find a better book
Way to basic and pretty much an insult to a users intelligence. Try Red Hat Linux Networking and System Administration by Terry Collings [Paperback]
