I was surprised the book was so small, it's contents are just the simple sonnet of Christina Rossetti's 'Remember me when I am gone away'.
Sam Denley's illustrations are nice, if you like cats, butterflies and flowers.
For me it was a purchase I had to make because this sonnet was read at my Grandmother's funeral at my Father's request. He had no idea who wrote the words but they were special to him.
I purchased the book to give him as a gift, to remember his Mother, my Nan, and my son's Great Nan Vera.
It is an ideal tribute in such circumstances, but not for those who wish to read the words of this wonderful nineteenth-century poet, my Father has the choice to continue reading this woman's wonderful work, or to remain with only this.
For those who wish to read more this is definitely not the book to buy, having read more by this poet I would choose something with more content.
So for me - disappointing!
