Rupert has been a favorite since my childhood in England during the war years. I now continue the tradition each Xmas, here in California with my American granddaughter. We are both as delighted as always with the 2001 Annual. I don't know who is more thrilled, she or I.

Just read this book with my 5 year old girl - and we both loved it, and are now on the look out for more Rupert stories. The stories are full of magic, wonderful characters, unusual situations and adventures, and are perfectly illustrated.

This annual has always been a favourite book since childhood and I buy it every year for my husband. Both of us were children of the war years when toys and books were in short supply. A post war Rupert Annual was doubly precious. The never changing text, clever rhyme, bright colours and pictures still hold a magic. This book is no exception.
