The book is sturdy, and the small format is good for somebody on the move. I always take it with me on my business trips to Sweden. Almost everybody in Sweden speaks excellent English, but it's nice to make an effort to say a few things. That said, the book hasn't been hugely useful. Several times, I've been unable to make myself understood, and when finally giving up and showing the poor Swede the phrase I'm trying to say, they tell me that the phrase contains a grammatical error, or isn't something that they would actually say. This has reduced my confidence in the book.

Not a bad little book, but it is only little.
It has a basic outline of words and phrases you may need but, as a Swedish friend of mine pointed out, it lacks any means to decipher what may be said back to you.
Each word or phrase is phonetically spelt out in a way which English speakers will find handy.
The book appears to have been last updated in 1979, so is a bit outdated, although that may be handy if you need to ask for a waltz!

better than going into the grammar of a language,it is better to learn it alive,the way it is spoken everyday,and it ensures you a quick and enjoyable ending.that is first step in learning the wonderful language of sweden.
