This is theology written at the extreme. Richard Wurmbrand, alone in his cell, imprisoned solely for his beliefs, preaches himself a sermon each night to keep himself sane. These sermons become etched into his memory: they are always close to the edge, and are never afraid of being heretical. They are informed throughout by his passionate and quirky knowledge of the Bible, especially those texts that seem to be in error, or which don't make sense. This is a book that stays with you across the years.
