Incredible true story (3/3 people found this helpful)Michael Krupa is an absorbing writer and I read this book very quickly. The story of his life, tragically caught up in the Communist Gulag, is the most fascinating true story I have read. I recommend this book for people who are interested in finding out more about the Gulag. Incredible Story (6/6 people found this helpful)What Michael Krupa lived through is incredible. In telling this story, Krupa did not need to embellish or exaggerate. No fiction writer could not have come up with this kind of horror. Once I began to read the book, I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting!
An amazing read! (9/11 people found this helpful)Michael Krupa is indeed a remarkable man. Escaping from the Jesuit monestry, tortured in Lubianka Prison, Escaping Siberian Concentration camp, survived wolves attack, shot through the neck and left for dead and much, much, more, he still lives to tell the tale at the grand old age of 88!!!!!
