Sir Gary..Book review (1/1 people found this helpful)

Trevor Bailey is supurb in writing of the greatest all rounder to play the game of cricket. His description's of life in Barbados in the early 1940's after Gary's Father was killed makes us with two parents appreciate life and the way Gary learn't his cricket on the island with games of "little cricket" to playing for Barbados, West Indies where various father figures shaped his life to scoring of 365x, the death of friend Collie Smith, scoring 254 for the Rest of The World to his retirement in 1974. Trevor style of writing is exceptional, and any one who knows Gary (I don't actually) hopefully will agree.
