Reader Reviews:alpha all the way. (1/1 people found this helpful)This has to be one of the best romance books i have ever read, with a little suspense thrown into the mix for good measure. It centres around the budding relationship between schyler (pronounced skyler),a wealthy and priveleged woman, and Cash a mysterious mean and moody type who lives a simple and solitary life. Although both parties fight their attraction to each other, the sparks that fly whenever they are together cannot be ignored.
interesting, fast pacing: a great suspense (4/6 people found this helpful)I like reading Sandra Brown's books. This one probably is one of the preliminary works of her post-pure-romance era. So, in that aspect it is different from classical Sandra Brown. Actually I had read this book more than 10 years ago and enjoyed it. This summer, when I had nothing new to read I gave it a second chance. I have read probably all of Sandra Brown books and somewhow this one still worths rereading. Schyler is a great character. Most readers may find Cash a little bit irritating but I, personally liked them together. Cash is highly problematic. As I mentioned before, the scenes between them is a mixture of good and bad. Cash and schyler are remarkable. Warning: Don't hate Cash throughout the pages, particulary his dirty talk and womanising! Please keep in mind that Slow Heat In Heaven is not a romance book but it is still hot. This is one of her best books.......however, (4/7 people found this helpful)she hasn't written one in a long time that is this good. Her thicker books like Mirror Image, French Silk, Slow Heat In Heaven are her best. She needs to get with it..I have waited a long time for her to come out with a good thick book. Instead, she keeps republishing her old ones. I have pretty much given up on her as I am tired of waiting. Has it all!! (4/4 people found this helpful)I love Sandra Brown. I'm seldom disappointed. This is one of the best I've read by Sandra. I go to the library and head first for her books. I've exhausted most of them. This is a captivating, suspenseful, steamy story. I generally don't like "romance" novels, but Sandra always has so many twists, turns and unexpected surprises intertwined. I was sad to come to the end. Her books keep you thinking about the characters even after you've finished, trying to imagine how the story would continue. BRAVO! THUMBS UP, S.B.! (1/2 people found this helpful)WHAT A GREAT BOOK, I JUST CAN'T STOP RE-READING IT. I AGREE, I HAVEN'T FOUND ANOTHER BOOK LIKE IT! ONE OF THE BEST SANDRA HAS EVER DONE!
