Reader Reviews:

5/5 stars

Brilliant mix of biography and science (2/2 people found this helpful)

When I was browsing for a new book to read, I initially put this one back on more than one visit to the bookshop, however this time I decided to give it a try. And I'm glad I did!

Having read many of Dr. Hawking's books I was unsure how a book about his theories not actually written by him would read, and was of course sure that his own great wit would be missing from the book. However, Kitty's own wit and writing style is superb, and her explanations of the complex ideas therein are worthy of the great man himself.

With just the right mix Kitty takes you on a journey through Dr. Hawking's life and the theories which have made him tick throughout his fascinating career, covering relativity, wormholes, and his own pioneering research into black hole radiation, (now known as Hawking Radiation).

A MUST read for anybody interested in Dr. Hawking and the great mysteries of the universe.
