I bought this book to looking for practical advice about SAN/NAS, I was looking for some theory & some useful advice in the areas of planning, implementation, testing & day to day management. None of these items were covered in any useful way. In my opinion this book is 500 pages of waffle.
At best I'd say this book it irrelevant, at worst a total waste of time.
If you're looking to write a thesis on I/O workflow you might consider this book, otherwise don't waste your time.
