Reader Reviews:Sunday at Tiffanys (0/0 people found this helpful)Read in a few days. Could not put it down. I don't usually like to read romances but this is a little different. I even cried. A nice story... (0/0 people found this helpful)This is the first James Patterson I have read that isn't a crime/murder novel. I was surprised at how well his style of writing adapts to the very different subject matter. It was still a typical James Patterson in the way that the chapters are really short and the whole book took no time at all to read but I guess that I did feel more of a feminine influence. The story follows Jane and her imaginary friend Michael. Michael leaves her at the age of 9 but they meet up again when she is 32. The subject matter seems very childish but the book is actually written with adult emotions. Not a lot to say really but it was a nice read. Fabulous romantic magic (1/1 people found this helpful)I love love love this book. I brought it on a whim as I usually like James Patterson books but what a buy!!! It's nothing like his usual work no violence other than a couple punches, one really satisfying one that'll have you cheering as you read.
Wonderful read but not the normal Patterson! (2/2 people found this helpful)If you are a Patterson fan but read the review and think "mmmm, that sounds a bit namby-pamby" then you are no different to me. I was dubious about the story, as it is so unlike anything James patterson has done before. The story focuses on Jane as a child and her imaginary friend Michael. The story fast forwards many years when Jane is re-united with Michael as a "real" person. I had my reservations but must say that although the storyline is slightly out of the ordinary it was a good read. The only downside was that the book was on the short side, otherwise it made a refreshing read for an unusual tale about two peoples lives.
