Don't be fooled into buying the book on it's own as well (10/10 people found this helpful)
This German course is fine for beginners with the CD's or Tape. However I fell into the trap of buying the book on it's own as well because the site showed that other people had bought the two. I now have two identical books and 1 lot of CD's. I have not managed to navigate the site and find out how to contact Amazon on a topic which is not within their usual queries so I decided to write this review in order that other customers can avoid the same trap.

I bought this book after a recommenation from my class teacher in college as a study text. I found book very well presented and was particularly pleased to find end of chapter tests. The audio cassettes are of high quality and well introduced, but if feel that the lack of a cd means that you need to study the course in that particular order rather than in the same order as your night class or whatever.

This book is brilliant for both beginners and those who wish to brush up on the language. I currently am brushing up on skills learnt over 10 years ago and this book breaks down the language in easy to understand sections.
In my opinion it is a very good book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn this beautiful language.
