very poor quality, his first books were great, now they are just rubbish.
I will not be buying anymore written by him and his co writers..

Insult to Intelligence (1/1 people found this helpful)

This has got to be one of the worst books ever.

*Spoiler Alert*

In this book you have a doctor threaten to kill somebody with a syringe loaded with insulin as if insulin can kill you in seconds to minutes.

It is like a cottage industry- producing books under a popular author's name written by somebody else. Even Robert Ludlum who had died a couple of years ago has a new book out. This sort of blatant commercialisation is only going to destroy the author's reputation and feels like cheating.
Unless ofcourse the whole idea is to make a quick buck.

You won't want to put it down! (1/2 people found this helpful)

This book is so fast paced and gripping it'l keep you up all night! Although it is the fifth in a series you don't have to read the others to enjoy it and with the fast paced writing and short chapters its like one long adrenaline rush!
There are lots of interesting characters and stories woven into the main plot to add depth and drama to the book. I highly recomend it to anyone who likes crime novels or fast paced books- you won't be disapionted!

Give Up (1/1 people found this helpful)

James Patterson has had his day, I don't believe he (or his co-authors) have written a good book in years, since the early Alex Cross series.
And why is he always using co-authors to do his work?
His books have become un-original, boring, predictable, and not very well written.
Sad, but true...

Thrillers for Sun readers (2/4 people found this helpful)

Really this guy insults the intelligence - two page chapters, a vocabulary that is probably about the same used in The Sun newspaper and a story so dull...

Like it takes tens of deaths in a hospital with the same obvious trademark signature and no one has figured that out and called the police in... Actually ONE death with that signature would have made the first person who saw it call the police, but no....

How does anyone buy his books - he hardly writes any of them (ALWAYS co authored).. yet he is rich so I must be missing something! I go a few years and then think he can't have been that bad, and buy another one, only to have my suspicions confirmed. Actually he is getting worse (and that is why this book was selling (just) for £1 at the local discount warehouse. And piled high too.

I must say I got 3/4 of the way through and was getting so bored, that I may have missed an extraordinary twist at the end....
