Another disappointment from one of my former favourite authors. (2/2 people found this helpful)
SAdly, the last few books produced by James Patterson have been a real let down in my opinion - and unfortunately this is no exception!
James seems determined to be one of the world's most prolific authors, with the result that the quality of his work has really deteriorated. Like many children, he appears to have the mentality that quantity is superior to quality. Eventually, they realise the error of their ways - I just wish that he would!
As a result of this, no longer do I await the publication of 'his latest' with almost bated breath. No longer do I rush to grab them at the airport in order to be one of the first to read them. Instead, I wait for them to come out at a cheaper price (like this), and still I have been disappointed - partly because I still hope for a return to form!
Maybe, one day, it will happen - but sadly not with this book - at least in my opinion!
For those who have not read some of his earlier books, this will probably be an enjoyable read. For those of us who loved his earlier works, I fear it is yet another disappointment.

James Patterson has been one of my favorites over the years, though some of his books leave me wanting. Mary Mary I thought was excellent but Step on a Crack was terrible! This one was somewhere in the middle. The first half is excellent. I wish the kidnapping plot had been more pivitol to the story line. I was waiting for more, but it suddenly just ends. No big Zippity do da ending. So while the lead up was good, the ending was a let down.
