Anyone wishing to learn more about the drawing methods of such art "schools" would find this book extremely interesting. The London school was not the only exponent of this sometimes highly intense measuring method to obtain drawings which usually were developed into finished paintings. Euan Uglow also used the method and perhaps took the system to it's ultimate conclusion by producing paintings which on accassion had the model engaged, married and with childeren before Uglow completed the work. A very unusual book and should be read by anyone who practices or has an interest in this process of drawing.
