this is the first published book that gives clear cut and well documented answers to the questions that followed the assisination of one of africa's brightest young leader. it is also a first time exposure of the leading role that the belgian goverment of the time had in masterminding the killing of lumumba, implementing and, subsequently, covering it. de witte's work is of great help for those interested in understanding the causes and the consequeces that the murder of lumumba brought to one of africa's most troubled nations. an altogether shocking and fascinating read.
