Excellent Book!! (0/0 people found this helpful)

One of the best novels I've ever read! If you like Grisham's style, you'll like this book. It is gripping and very entertaining. I liked the protagonist because of his ironic view of all the things that happen to him. Troughout the story I was wondering what I would do if I were in such a predicament... I can only recommend reading this book. It's fun!

I put a lot of time into reading this book. Don't get me wrong i enjoyed it and was really looking forward to the end to find out such things as: Who was Bennie? Whom did he work for? To what extent,if any,was the rival firm's involvement? Who made the video? How did Bennie get it? Who killed Baxter?

These are all reasonable expectations. So you can imagine my utter frustration when as I got towards the end and realised that there were not enough pages left to answer all these questions. Come on John, surely it is not beyond you to wrap up in such away as to let us know what this whole book was actually about; or are we just expected to do the hard part of creating a work of fiction and solve the crimes and work out the deceptions ourselves?

Loved it but kept wanting more... (0/0 people found this helpful)

This book harks back to the earlier books of John Grisham and I couldn't put it down. Whether you like lawyer based books or not, his fluid style and gripping story lines make him a true legend! This book is fast paced and has a main character that you really beleive in.

The end leaves you wanting more answers which I don't think we will get. This book has definate film appeal and I am sure we will see it in the cinema soon!

Rarely disappoints, Grisham has produced another class tale. Really enjoyable and recommended to all my friends.

An easy page turner (0/0 people found this helpful)

Read in 24 hours and an easy page turner altho perhaps a non ending? I often think Grisham novels are like a Chinese meal - easy to digest but not always filling! One of the better Grishams however so I guess I will digest some more!
