Unlike other Baby Name books, this one lists what the general public thinks of when hearing a specific name. Face it, we all have preconceived notions of people with certain names; for example, how do you picture a Bubba? or a Percy? Based on surveys, this book will tell you what the average person thinks upon hearing a given name. In many cases, it also mentions the probable reason. For example, how many people picture "Andy" as a good-natured country boy -- a la Andy Griffith? Or "Scarlett" as an independent, somewhat fiery young woman, like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind?
