OK , these might be a collection of other people's recipes from the really enjoyable TV series of the same name, (in which Hugh helped out & partook in dinner parties at different peoples houses) but Hugh has selected some fantastic examples here.
This is a cracking book with some unusual recipes (some more unusual than other) & twists on your classics.
I have never yet tasted a bad recipe from any of Hugh's books (& I pretty much have them all) & this book carries on in the same vein - easy to follow recipes to make some truly delicious food.(You might want to skip the placenta though.....)

A fantastic book by a fantastic cook and author. I have seen "A cook on the wild side, TV Dinners and River Cottage" and thought they were all excellent by a man i admire very much, i look forward to more from this man.

I ordered this book after watching every episode of the TV Dinners program on Food Network. I couldn't wait to create most of the recipes plus the stories behind each are so interesting. YOU will not be disappointed in any way and I highly recommend this book to all. BE adventureous!
