Reader Reviews:One for the experts and not the general reader. (2/2 people found this helpful)I am a fan of Sibelius's music. His first and fifth symphonies are some of the finest ever written, and his tone poems can astound and amaze. I hoped this volume would enlighten me further about his background and his composing, but I was disappointed. The volume is really intended for musicologists and those with a detailed knowledge of music theory.
