Zzzzz (1/2 people found this helpful)

Very disappointing. Extremely slow plot, I pesevered to the end of the book but was glad when I finished it. I'd read My Best Friend's Girl which was far better than this.

Not for me! (2/3 people found this helpful)

This was a real disappointing read. Vague references to chocolate every now and then which felt like an effort to validate the title of the book. It spent an awful lot of time in the thoughts of the character rather than getting on with telling a good story. Took me ages to plough through and it was a relief to finally finish it. Don't think I'll be tempted by a Dorothy Koomson book for a while which is a shame coz I really loved "My best friends girl".

Every girls chocolate dream (0/0 people found this helpful)

I think Dorothy Koomson has excelled herself with this book. I could barely put it down. From the relationship problems to the fantastic analogy of chocolate and human characteristics, it was fabulous!
It's by no means difficult to read, so take this on holiday or read it at lunchtime - it's escapism in the most chocolatey of ways!

|Very good but .................................................. (0/0 people found this helpful)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book couldn't put it down. once again Dorothy has delivered a well written entertaining gem of a book.
however since being a fan of hers i have noticed that all her books follow a similar pattern
London girl from broken family goes uni to Leeds
meet thinner blonder more messed up best friend.
breaks up from very serious relationship
falls out with best mate
meets very attractive guy and forms unlikely relationship
never-less shes very talented but she good do with some new ideas
