Reader Reviews:Forever in my heart at Christmas (0/0 people found this helpful)I read this book and then saw the TV movie. It is a story of love, letting go, understanding, and Christmas warmth. I just didn't want the story to end. It is on my bookshelf for Christmas reading each year. I tried to purchase the movie but it was only made for TV. To me, it is a Christmas classic, and a Christmas story with a simple satisfaction for Christmas. It should be made into a movie, for everybody to have the opportunity to purchase. A treasured experience to be enjoyed many times. (2/2 people found this helpful)This is the third Christmas season that I have snuggled with my daughter and experienced this lovely story. Both of us have come to love this tale of "Tree", Sister Anthony and of the little girl named Anna. It is told by the chief gardner from Rockefeller Center, who meets Sister Anthony during one of his annual quests for the perfect Christmas tree for the famous New York landmark. It is with each of Sister Anthony's storytellings that we witness the beautiful tapestry that unfolds, showing us the pure love between a child and a tiny tree and of their journey through life. This is truly a beautiful and heartfelt story that will evoke tears of sadness and joy. I look forward to sharing this treasure with my daughter for many years to come and I know she will always remember it...as will I. THANK YOU JULIE SALAMON! A fantastic book for the Christmas season! (1/1 people found this helpful)I listened to this book on cassette and was moved beyond belief. It was such a heart warming story and could bring tears to ones eyes. I loved it and would recommend it for all young and old alike. It touches like nothing else could! (1/1 people found this helpful)It is hard to believe that such a short novel can pack in so much emotions. As I followed the narrator into the life of little Anna and Sister Anthony, I was overwelmed by the simplicity and pureness of the love she possesses. In a society like ours, we tend to forget the most basic of humanity--love. By reading this book, you unlock in your heart the door that allows you to see the many touching things in life that we fail to appreciate. Read this book on Christmas eve and you will never look at a Christmas tree the same way as you did again. A Burst of Emotion on Paper! (2/2 people found this helpful)Simple and elegant, sentimental and spiritual, this book will touch your soul without preaching. An easy read (I devoured it in less than an hour), it took me another hour to recover. Ms. Salamon's convincing prose and Ms. Weber's whimsical artwork have collaborated on one destined to become a classic. If you like to give books as gifts, this one will satisfy young or old, rich or poor, well-read or slow-read, male or female. It's hard to believe this small of a package could deliver such a miracle. There is no excuse for not reading this one! CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
