Roald Dahl at his best!!! (20/21 people found this helpful)

The book contains "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator". My favourite of the two is "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" although both of the novels display Roald Dahl's fantastic personality and imagination. I first read it when i was very young and the more i read it, the more i love it. The book is centred around Charlie Bucket and follows his adventures as well as the other four lucky winners of the Golden Tickets (Veruca Salt, Augustus Gloop, Mike Teavee and Violet Beauregarde)around Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. My favourite part of the book is the beginning as the poor boy Charlie desperately searches for a golden ticket. "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" isn't a good a read but I really do think that you will want to read this once you have read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and so it really is worth buying them both. "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" starts where "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" finishes. It is a superb way to complete the adventures of Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka. Something has gone wrong in the factory and Willy Wonka, Charlie, Grandpa Joe and company are blasted into orbit! My favourite parts of the book are the descriptions and actions of Charlie's granparents as they are really funny and make me laugh. I would advise anyone who wants to read Roald Dahl's greatest work to buy this book immediately. These books are perfect for people new to Roald Dahl's work and a must for any fan! I would definately buy them both as one cannot be read without the other.

This is completely wicked and exciting. I had trouble putting it down. My Mum has also read it and thought it was a brilliant collection
