In this book the author presents an impressive selection of personalised vows for different types of wedding situations and also shares the stories of some of the individuals who wrote them.
It's a good starting point for those who wish to write their own vows. I circled the passages that appealed to me and thought about why they appealed in order to be able to include that aspect in my own wedding renewal vows.

I am an modern bride looking for new idears, if you are having a civil wedding unfortunatly this book will give you no useful idears , sorry but there is better helpfull information out there.

Most 'wedding vows' books on the market are generally tailored to Christian weddings. This book breaks the mould as it has sample wedding vows for all types of weddings, including non-religious. I am planning my wedding next year which will be a civil ceremony and I wanted some ideas to personalise my wedding vows. This book has been inspiring! Well recommended and definitely worth 5 stars!

I was interested in the section on renewal of wedding vows--incidentally this is the only book I could find that gave sample vows--and I was delighted to find several examples, each different, interesting, and easy-to-use as a jumping off point toward writing your own personalized vows. I skimmed the rest of the book and it all seemed useful and non repetitive, reflecting a great deal of thought and time to each section obviously given to it by the author. If you need a book like this, it's terrific.

When my fiance and I wanted to marry, we searched to find meaningfull wedding vows that would tell a story to our guests of the incredible things that had happened to us, and how fate, luck and life brought us together and our love healed us. Being widowed and having two children, this book addressed our *VERY SPECIAL* wedding vow needs. I also read the rest of the vows for first time marriges, they were OUTSTANDING! I wish I would have had this book when I was 18.... and thrilled I have it now.. as I am 38.
