Reader Reviews:The Conservative Party from Peel to Thatcher (8/9 people found this helpful)A new edition has been recently published to include the Major years, but the text remains invaluable to historians of any period of the Conservative party's history. It is enthusiastically written and remarkably free from the dry academic tone often characteristic of similar publications. It is simply divided by Party leaders and so is incredibly useful as a brief reference guide as well as providing more detailed descriptions of policy, motivation and personality.
