Reader Reviews:A Bit Disappointed (3/3 people found this helpful)I bought this book expecting it to be as page turning as other Patterson books, and I was a bit disappointed, it is worth reading just to see if you are going to like this series, but for me it was a one off, I found Daniel to be lacking in character and the plot lacking in suspense it is of course a book for teenagers so maybe I was expecting too much. I wish the Daniel X series luck, but I will not be buying further books in this series. If you enjoyed the Maximum Ride adventures you'll like this! (8/8 people found this helpful)It was a very different theme than anything Patterson has wrote about before. I enjoyed it but prefer many of his other titles it still has the same flow, style and content but something was lacking for me. I usually enjoy sci-fi themed books but this one seemed as though he couldn't decide if it was for adults or children. I would still recommend it just don't expect it to be one like one of his best. So overall it's still one for the collection but if your short on money and haven't read some of his other earlier works I'd buy those first.
