Editorial Review:

Nicholas Evans's best-selling Horse Whisperer is a story of tragedy, soul-searching and unabashed romance. When the Graves family--13-year-old daughter Grace, high-powered, highly charged Annie, and her lawyer husband Robert--is struck by tragedy, each searches for their own way to come to terms with it. Annie thinks if she can fix Grace's physically and spiritually battered horse, she'll mend her daughter's maimed soul in the process. And so the search for the mythical horse whisperer begins. He appears in the form of Tom Booker--a handsome, rugged, sensitive Montana cowboy. The story travels from Upstate New York to Manhattan, then makes an eventful detour through the glorious foothills of the Rocky Mountains. --Colleen Preston

Great read couldn't put it down (2/2 people found this helpful)

I first saw the movie which I really enjoyed loving horses and the romance story in it. I have recently read the book which I found to be very enjoyable and was sad once I finished it cause I did't want it to end. The movie was close to it but coudlnt do the book enough justice. This is a really great read and will read it again in the future.

A beautiful book (0/0 people found this helpful)

This book draws you in; there has never been a book known to me that is written in such a way that you almost feel you are there with them, the scene of the accident is much better performed in this book than it ever could be by a film director (Robert Redford especially) and it truly opens up the imagination.
You get taken in with the emotion of the story and the plight of the main characters to the degree that I couldn't bring myself to read the final part 5 due to not wanting it to end.

excellent (0/0 people found this helpful)

This book was excellent. I read it in the last 3 days. I can see why it sold millions of copies. Breathtaking scenery described so well that i could truely picture it. It was written so eloquently, it flowed gracefully and i am going to read it again. I have just got Nicholas Evans other books too 'The Divide' and 'The smoke jumper' and im gonna bury my head in them for the next few days.

Verry gripping (1/1 people found this helpful)

I would have to say that this book is one of the best that i have ever read. I borrowed it first of all from a school friend and i could not put it down, it did not take me long to read it. i later decided to buy myself a copy to keep and sice then i have read the book three times. the storys and characters are very gripping and all the descriptions of the scenery are fantastic! I would recomend this book to everyone, if you have seen the film i would still say read the book as i prefere the book to the film as they changed so much in the film which made it less real for me.i would also say that you should read his other books, the loop, the smoke jumper and his new book the divide (which i have yet to read) these are all good reads.
