Casting the screechy and amateurish Sandy Toksvig as Tigger has ruined an otherwise fine production. The rest of the cast are wonderful though. I would recommend the Tigger free audiobook 'Winnie the Pooh' over this one.

This is a very pleasant interpretation. Stephen Fry's "Winnie" is especially delightful in contrast to the Disney version to which we are accustomed here in the U.S.
Don't get me wrong; while I do like both the Disney version and the audio version by Maurice Evans, I appreciate this version just as much if not more. The entire cast has given a fresh sound to this children's classic.
If you are familiar with the Masterpiece Theatre "Jeeves & Wooster" performances then you will enjoy this version all the more, from listening to Fry as Winnie to trying to recognize Robert Daws as Rabbit (he played Tuppy Glossop on Jeeves & Wooster).
