Editorial Review:Books Sold by IBX Reader Reviews:FANTASTIC FICTION (0/0 people found this helpful)A MOST ENJOYABLE READ,YOU CANNOT PUT MARTINA COLE BOOKS DOWN UNTILL READ FROM COVER TO COVER A good read but not the best that Martina has to offer (0/0 people found this helpful)I have read quite a few of martina's books and have always been impressed but I found this one a little long winded and at parts hard to stay interested. Overall it was quite a good book but definitely not one of her best. Brilliant (0/0 people found this helpful)Took a while for me to get into this book, but once I had, I couldn't put it down. It had me in tears a few times.......fantastically readable. Get over it and get on! (0/0 people found this helpful)Very written with well thought out main characters but I thought some of the secondary characters were a bit woolly. Donna Brunos was one of many adornments to her husband's lifestyle and she played the role very well. When her husband is arrested, tried and convicted as an accessory to a robbery that resulted in murder her life changes. She takes over the running of his businesses and so the veneer that was his life, and to a large extent hers, starts to peel away. She begins arrangements to spring him from prison out of love, but slowly as she learns more about him, her motives change.
Another Great Book From Martina (0/0 people found this helpful)When I first read The Jump I wasn't too keen on it, but after the second read I admit I thoroughly enjoyed it. The naive Donna, while annoying at first, becomes more and more interesting and ballsy throughout. After he first 100 pages The Jump gets going and Donna meets Alan who she asks to help her uncover the truth about her husband. Alan is a 'face' and very likeable, you know he and Donna will end up together because you know from the off that Georgio is hiding something dangerous. With every page the book gets more exciting and the end is an absolute bombshell to Donna. I ended up with a total hatred for Georgio which of course is Martina's aim: to shock the reader, which she pulls off successfully. Slow at first but a graet read, one u can read over and over.
