My favourite book by Martina Cole (0/0 people found this helpful)

Wow...What a read. This is Martina when she was at her very best and though i have only read 3 of her books this one is excellent and less swearing than her later books!!!! I had no trouble getting into the story and although fiction it could very well have been true as it is a realistic !!!

Fantastic (0/0 people found this helpful)

This was the first book I read of Martina's and it was FANTASTIC.

It will have you gripped from the very begining as you are Introduced to DI Kate Burrows who meets a well known villan Patrick Kelly and the unexpected happens. You will grow to love these character's (especially Patrick who I think every woman will fall in love with!!). Once you read this you must read the follow up Broken which is also great!!!

'Brilliant' - 'Unputtdownable' (0/0 people found this helpful)

Well what can I say this was my second Martina Cole book and I was not dissapointed, I had a fight on my hands though trying to get my book back from my husband who had picked it up after I was telling him how good it was. Who then ended up reading it, he managed to finish it before me and kept me guessing what was going to happen at the end.

Very gripping - Storyline and an unforgettable Character.
'George in his shed'

Be warned you will be hooked.!

very disappointing (0/3 people found this helpful)

I thought Kate and Kelly were more like a poor man's Eve Dallas and Roarke but without the splendid and interesting personalities. I can't think of any police work Kate actually did, she was so dull I think Kelly deserved so much better. I think this was a dull book, with little bits of highlits - one of which was most definately NOT boring dull Kate.

So good! (1/2 people found this helpful)

I really loved this book. It only took a few days to get through and I couldn't wait to get home and finish it! The story hooks you from the start, and reels you in the further you get into it. It is a bit gruesome in some parts - but then you expect a bit of that from Martina Cole. This is definately one of my favourites and I cant wait to find out what happens to Kate and Patrick in the next book.
