Reader Reviews:Very good book (0/0 people found this helpful)I read the first book a long time ago (about 4 months) and it was very good. I am glad to say that this is just as good as the first book [i.e. A great read] Light Fantastic (0/0 people found this helpful)One of the first of many great books. Even though Rincewind is not one of my favorite characters, you still see the greatness of his cowardliness. Many of the side stories/characters have been left out of the film which is one more reason to read this book. The plot unravels fast and unfortunately that makes the book fast to read. At the end you wish you had taken more time reading it. Also, even though not necessary, it is nice to get some basic information in order to read the following novels. The Light Fantastic By Terry Pratchett (0/0 people found this helpful)Get book! Its 1 Of The Disc World Novels & one of the best!Highly recommended. The Colour of Magic part two (0/0 people found this helpful)`The Colour of Magic' finished with Rincewind and Twoflower falling off the edge of the Disc and `The Light Fantastic' takes things from here. However, the story of the Discworld's first tourist is complicated somewhat as an event that could end the world itself begins and the only thing that can stop it is the spell stuck in Rincewind's head . If this wasn't bad enough Rincewind must also deal with trolls, druids, talking trees, a detour to Deaths cottage and the Discworld's greatest hero.
One of my fave authors (0/0 people found this helpful)This is the one that first converted me and I have now read just about all his works, the are full of wit and fantasy he is brilliant Similar ProductsThe Colour of Magic: The First Discworld Novel (A Discworld Novel) Equal Rites: The third Discworld novel (A Discworld Novel) Wyrd Sisters (A Discworld Novel) CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
