Not what it says on the tin (0/0 people found this helpful)

When I ordered this I expected it to be fairly basic, but I did expect it to have some usable tips.

The book is filled with more facts than it is on green living tips, but even then the facts seem a bit basic, I think anybody with any interest in greener living already knows that taking the bus is better to cut down on congestion than using your car.

What little the book does have in "tips" are just plain silly, their method of saving water is to suggest you bathe with a friend. Their other suggested method is to reduce your water consumption in the summer by not washing your car and tell people the bird droppings are a new style statement...

It may just be me, but I don't find those "suggestions" helpful in the slightest and are silly rather than humorous.

There were a few usable (but very basic) tips to save the planet, such as reusing your carrier bags, or putting a device in your toilet cistern to reduce water use, but unfortunately the best way of reducing paper wastage is to just avoid this book completely and find one that has something actually worth the paper it's printed on.

Great little gem (4/4 people found this helpful)

Witty little gem of a book with concise and simple suggestions which you can easily incorporate into your day-to-day life. Great starting point and a good soft intro for those who are perhaps a bit sceptical. An ideal little gift item to send to all your friends, and definitely one to keep in the loo for a quick read.

a little book with a big message (20/23 people found this helpful)

Frank, witty, concise...what more can you ask for in a little green book? The bath advice alone is well worth the cover price. Go on, buy a few and send them to pals. You too can help save the planet.

A bit basic... (13/21 people found this helpful)

A good starting point, but you'll soon want more information.

Funny view of a serious issue (8/15 people found this helpful)

Excellent little nugget of a book. Very light-hearted look at a topic that is often preached. g8.
