Reader Reviews:Good, but doesn't have all the answers (7/8 people found this helpful)I bought this book whilst contemplating a switch to Mac OS X from Windows XP. It proved to be eminently readable, and Ihnatko has a very easy going style which was quite different from any Windows book I'd ever read. I thought I was fairly well grounded in the Mac OS by the time I finally decided to take the plunge, and certainally I have been able to make the transition fairly painlessly. This style of book's shortcomings, however, become evident when you actually have your Mac in front of you and you're wanting to know how to get something done - at that stage, the author's light hearted wit starts to grate a bit... In summary, an excellent book if you're a Windows user contemplating defection to The Other Side, but you might want to get something a bit more detailed once you get there.
