Reader Reviews:most satisfied (0/0 people found this helpful)I was extremely satisfied with the book received .It was in brand new condition,it arrived very fast and i found the whole transaction all i had expected it to be. I'll not hesitate to make further purchases ,Great savings, great service. Thank you Excellet book (0/0 people found this helpful)An enjoyable, informative read. Has been more helpful to me than 2 terms of poetry lectures.
The ode less travelled (1/1 people found this helpful)If you like free verse you probably won't like this book. But if you want to understand more about traditional forms of poetry and how/why they work then I doubt it can be beaten. I bought it as it came highly recommended by fellow students on an OU writing course. I hardly put it down for weeks - it was great. On iambics and other forms of metre it is superb. And he gives you little exercises to do for practice. An English teacher on the same course found it similarly addictive. Howlingly terrible (1/15 people found this helpful)There are not many books which I read that I abandon half way through, but this, sadly is one of them. If this is someone's idea of art or writing, then they need their head examined.
Brillliant (1/1 people found this helpful)Very informative..... Great if you can't get the grasps of poetry... It really widens your understanding... Brill book and by a fantastic author....
