Reader Reviews:Excellent (0/0 people found this helpful)Great story from Danielle Steel. This is one of the first novels I'd read of hers a few years back.
The Promise (3/4 people found this helpful)My first book of Danielle Steel, saw the movie first that is how I discover her books and have kept all her books ever since. Would love to see it again video or DVD. Fantastic! (2/2 people found this helpful)This book is amazing. Its mainly about these two couples called Nancy and Michael who vowed they will never say goodbye to each other, and will always be there. But when they were in a car crash, Nancy was left with no choice to go far away to get a new face as it was damaged, forced by Michael's mother. Thinking Michael will come back to find her, she goes, and Michaels' mother told him that she was dead! It really is a test between love and trust. It is gripping since the first page to the last. I recommend you buy it. It really is well worth the money. THE PROMISE (1/1 people found this helpful)This was the first book that I read of Danielle Steel's and it will always be my favourite one, I would love to see it on video or dvd, she is a first rate author. The Promise is about Michael and Nancy who are forced apart by his mother and a terrible accident well worth reading. Not as trashy as it looks... (0/1 people found this helpful)This is possible Danielle Steel's best release. The ending is rather predictable but some of the best things in life are. This book builds up tension and although a tiny bit 70s, this must not be missed whatever my friend Julia says Similar ProductsGoing Home A Perfect Stranger Once in a Lifetime CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
